Power

*Hello friends!

I'm really excited to introduce you to Catie Tomb! Catie is in the confirmation class this term, and is reading the same daily lectionary that our blog staff has been working through, so we asked her to share her thoughts on the verse that stuck out most to her! If you are like me, and think that what follows is reason for hope in the present and future of the church, join us on Wednesdays at Veritas. These kids are an incredible voice in our community, and we find tremendous value in sharing their voice with the rest of the community!

Glory in his holy name;
let the hearts of those who seek the Lord rejoice.
Seek the Lord and his strength;
seek his presence continually.
Remember the wonderful works he has done,
his miracles, and the judgments he has uttered,
O offspring of his servant Abraham,[a]
children of Jacob, his chosen ones.

Psalm 105 reminds me that the Lord has more power than anyone could ever imagine. Every horrible thing that happened in Israel is because God has the power to do so. When I read this again, I was able to let myself just relax a little bit. This generation is busier than past generations and I think that if everyone would just be able to take maybe five minutes out of their day, take a deep breath, and reread this scripture then we can be reminded that God has us all in the palm of his hand. Cause no matter how much school work, family problems, relationship issues, etc. come up, we have God will take care of us in the end due to this unthinkable power he possesses.
