Westminster Nursery School and Kindergarten (WNSK) is a NAEYC (National Association for the Education of Young Children) accredited preschool program and Pennsylvania Department of Education licensed kindergarten.
We strive to offer a safe, nurturing, stimulating and creative environment for our students. Our well-trained staff provides developmentally appropriate classes that allow children to become confident, independent and inquisitive learners. Our program also reflects our Christian beliefs, values and traditions by modeling the love of God, self, and others daily. Westminster's Private Kindergarten is licensed by the PA State Board of Private Academic Schools for Kindergarten. Our fully licensed Kindergarten offers the same academic standards as any Kindergarten in the surrounding school districts, and is designed to prepare children for entry into first grade. Half-day kindergarten is available five days a week in either morning or afternoon.

Transportation: Available to Kindergarten students by local school district buses.

Westminster's Pre-Kindergarten classes are geared toward children who are currently four years old and who plan to attend Kindergarten at age five. This class focuses on age appropriate academics in areas such as language, math and science while also focusing on the social and emotional needs of the children. Currently we offer both three- and four-day options for this class in either the morning or the afternoon.
NEW CLASS OFFERING THIS YEAR:
T Class - Must have attended a 4 year old class previously. This class will be offered four days per week and is designed for children who may have missed the September 1 Kindergarten cutoff date or who have been in a 4 year old program but who are not enrolling in Kindergarten until next year. The curriculum will focus on higher level school readiness skills.
Must be 3 years old by September 1.
Must be toilet trained.Westminster's Pre-School classes are designed to offer age-appropriate, stimulating opportunities to learn and grow in all areas: social, emotional, language, math and science. This program is appropriate both for the child who has previous school experience and for the child who is new to a school setting. We offer both two- and three-day options for this class in both the morning and afternoon.
Must be 2 years old by September 1.
No siblings allowed in class.Westminster's Pre-School Prep Two's program is specially designed to meet the social and emotional needs of two year olds as they begin to learn in a group. This class encourages children to participate in a wide variety of activities, focusing on age appropriate experiences in areas such as language, math and science, offered in a fun, engaging setting. We offer both one- and two-day options for this class in either the morning or afternoon.
Westminster offers before and after care for children enrolled in our Nursery School and Kindergarten programs. Before and after care is available from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. You may register to extend your child’s day. Cost is $6/hour.
If you find it difficult to pick up your child at the 11:30 a.m. or 3:00 p.m. dismissal time, this program is for you! Westminster Nursery School offers a later pick up option for parents.
Our Stay and Play Program will operate every day from 11:30 a.m.-12:00 p.m. and 3:00-3:30 p.m. The children will be dismissed from their classroom and escorted to the Stay and Play classroom. You can pick up your child from the Stay and Play Classroom each day.

Enrichment classes are offered on a semester basis. The fall semester is September to December. The spring semester is January to May. Enrichment classes are offered to all enrolled WNSK children age 3½ (by September 1) through 5.
Each class is specifically designed around a theme such as music, drama, cooking or science. Enrichment classes are an excellent way for children to explore a specific interest and encourage a love of learning. Children may enroll in as little as one or as many as 5 days per week of enrichment classes.
Morning enrichment classes: 9:00 - 11:30 a.m.
Afternoon enrichment classes: 12:30 - 3:00 p.m.
Lunch Bunch is available from 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. to extend your child's preschool day.
The school is in session from September through May.
Morning: 9:00 - 11:30 a.m.
Afternoon: 12:30 - 3:00 p.m.
If it is announced on the news channels that WNSK is operating on a modified schedule due to inclement weather:
- Morning classes will run from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.
- Afternoon classes will run from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m.
- Special classes will follow that same schedule.
- There will be no bus transportation for Kindergartners.
Morning: 9:15 - 11:15 a.m.
Afternoon: 12:45- 2:45 p.m.
