The Session has called a Congregational Meeting for Sunday, November 1, immediately following the 11:00 a.m. worship service. The meeting will be both in person in the sanctuary and through livestream.

The first item of business is to hear from the Nominating Committee to elect Elders, Deacons, Endowment Committee Members, and At-Large Members of the Nominating Committee. Read more.

The second item of business is to hear from the Pastor Nominating Committee who will make a recommendation for the position of Senior Pastor/Head of Staff. The congregation will be asked to vote to approve this candidate and the terms of call.

The candidate will preach at both services. The Pastor Nominating Committee will make their report and recommendation with Terms of Call at the meeting. Information about the candidate will be passed out in the sanctuary and will be sent by email to the congregation on Sunday morning prior to the meeting. This information is kept confidential until the meeting to protect the candidate who is in active ministry in a congregation.

We will use Mentimeter, a secure, online voting tool recommended by Pittsburgh Presbytery, for voting. You can test Mentimeter beforehand to get comfortable with the application. Go to www.menti.com and use the code 43 12 16 7. Answer Yes or No to the question, “Do you like the Steelers?” and click “Submit.” This format will be used for all votes.

Voting Instructions for Congregational Meeting on Sunday, November 1

  1. elect Elders, Deacons, Endowment Committee Members, and At-Large Members of the Nominating Committee.
  2. approve the candidate for Senior Pastor/Head of Staff and the terms of call.
  3. dismiss the Pastor Nominating Committee.
