PIPE ORGAN

This wonderful instrument helps us to sing with greater joy, to pray with deeper awareness, to listen to the movement of the Holy Spirit in our hearts as we worship from week to week. Read more.

Worship

Worshiping God is central to the life of Westminster. On a typical Sunday morning, we have traditional services in the sanctuary at 8:30 and 11:00 and a contemporary service in the WROC gymnasium at 9:45. Special services are held on Christmas Eve, Maundy Thursday, and the evening before Thanksgiving. Though the style and format vary somewhat, all our services are devoted to worshiping God, proclaiming God’s word, and strengthening us to live as God’s faithful people throughout the week. The sacraments are also an important part of our worship, as we celebrate the Lord’s Supper on the first Sunday of each month and on Maundy Thursday, and Baptism approximately every other month.

TRADITIONAL SERVICES

Our traditional services at 8:30 and 11:00 a.m. seek to glorify God and help worshipers experience something of God’s majesty and love. Reading and proclaiming God’s word, praying together, praising God through music, and celebrating the sacraments are the core elements of our worship. We use the talents God gives us, not as a performance, but as a way to invite everyone into a deeper relationship with God. The orders of worship at 8:30 and 11:00 are nearly identical, except that our choirs and children participate more fully at 11:00.

BRIDGE WORSHIP - CONTEMPORARY SERVICE

Worshiping God is a critical component to the faith life of every Christian. Scan the scriptures and you’ll find that they are filled with commands to worship the triune God. But as you take a look around the world, you’ll see that worship looks very different for different people. For us at the Bridge, worship happens in a community of faith, singing praises to the backdrop of a couple of guitars and some rock and roll.  We’re laid back and casual in style, but there’s nothing we take more seriously than the redemptive love of Jesus Christ. If this sounds like worship for you, won’t you join us at 9:45 on Sunday?

SERMONS

Listen to or read the sermons that inspire and teach us each week.  If you live near Westminster and don't have a church affiliation, we think hearing the word of God shared from our pulpit is a strong first step in determining whether Westminster might be the right church home for you.
