The House of Manna Faith Community has no walls. It serves the Homewood- Brushton area of Pittsburgh. It also serves through social justice ministries. Their purpose is to take the gospel to God’s people, lead them in transformation, form community and send them out in mission for the empowering of God’s Kingdom.  To volunteer, make a donation, or learn more about the House of Manna ministry please visit their website.

Interfaith Hospitality Network

The Interfaith Hospitality Network (IHN) is a nationally recognized church

We currently assist Bethel Presbyterian in this endeavor by providing meals and driving the IHN van to Washington, PA. For more information, call Andree Jeffrey at 412-831-7839. Throughout The World:

In Haiti

Westminster supports Pastor Pierre Vaguelas founder and director of the La Croix New Testament Mission, located 85 miles north of Port-Au-Prince.

Since 1998, Westminster Church members have participated in work teams with members from other Pittsburgh area churches to volunteer with construction projects and medical activities. These projects have included the construction of a medical clinic, a grain mill, and work on electrical projects. Additionally our church has provided significant funding for these projects as well as medical supplies and equipment.

Haiti Child Sponsorship Program

For $20 per month, individuals or groups can support a child from the LaCroix New Testament Mission School . Monthly gifts provide tuition, books, and uniforms for these children who would otherwise not have an opportunity for a school education.

Our Chancel Choir supports four LaCroix children. Our 5th and 6th grade JAM (Jesus and Me) group supports three children. Our Presbyterian Women's Circles sponsor several children.

More than 80 individual members of our congregation support children.

In Africa

Since 1992, we have had a “sister church” relationship with Zomba Presbyterian Church in Malawi, arranged by Pittsburgh Presbytery. We provide financial and material resources to Zomba Church and its satellite congregations. We exchange visits with church members.

In India

Since 1990, Westminster has supported Miraj Medical Center, a 600-bed general hospital serving a population of ten million. Through a Child Partner Program, we support 20 children of the lowest wage-earning workers at the Medical Center.

In the area of job training, we support Sangli Industrial School, which trains workers with employable skills in welding, carpentry, plumbing, auto and computer repair.

In the area of child welfare, the Vadeketh Development Center diagnoses and trains disabled and retarded children. The Community-Based Rehabilitation Center provides a rehabilitation program for disabled children and trains day-care nurses.
