Welcome to Westminster...
Dear Friend:
Praise, service, contemplation, mission, prayer, and grace. At Westminster Presbyterian Church, that's just a part of who we are and what we do.
Thank you for giving us this opportunity to introduce ourselves to you. As our mission statement confirms, Westminster is “a caring community of faith committed to bringing people to Christ and developing their faith through worshiping God together, teaching the faith and serving in mission.” As you learn more about us, you will see how we pursue that mission.
In terms of worship services, our members and friends can choose to join us Sundays at 8:30 or 11:00 a.m. for our traditional services in the sanctuary or at 9:45 a.m. for our more contemporary Bridge service in our multi-purpose gym. Then, of course, there are Sunday school classes for both adults and children. For those interested in joining us on a more formal level, member classes are held several times a year.
We're also committed to keeping Westminster just as vibrant and welcoming the rest of the week. A look at our weekly bulletin will show you everything that is happening in our church. Plus, the WROC, our recreational outreach center, has classes and activities to suit any interest and any age.
What we can't capture in any letter or list is Westminster 's strongest asset – our people. You will find them warm, welcoming, faithful, devoted, and supportive, and eager to answer any questions you might have about us as a church family.
We invite you to join us in worship or in any other way. You can learn more by picking up a weekly worship bulletin or monthly Spire newsletter. Copies of recent sermons are available in the Westminster Gallery and online at Sermons. And, of course, you can visit our offices any time to get the personal answers that you seek and have a chance to experience Westminster Church first hand.
At whatever level and on whatever timetable you choose to join us, we hope you will think of Westminster as your church home. We look forward to having you visit with us often. |
