Usher Team

USHER

Ushers hand out bulletins, collect offering; Usher in the balcony counts congregants. Ushers direct people to different areas of the church (nursery, rest rooms, classrooms, etc.) Cleans up stray paper after services. Families often serve as ushers together. Time required: 1 1/2 hours per Sunday. Skills needed: A warm smile and a love of Westminster.

MONTHLY USHER TEAM CAPTAIN

Team captains call scheduled ushers before Sunday to remind them of their duties. They may help recruit ushers. They report to the narthex to make sure all positions are covered; fill in as needed. Time required: 5 to 7 hours per month.

HEAD USHER

One for 8:30 am service and one for 11:00 am service. Communicates with the 6 monthly team captains pertaining to usher duties and special services; recruits members of the ushering teams; coordinates ushers for special Christian holiday services; attends monthly Worship Commission meetings. Time required: 6 hours per month; extra hours at Christmas.
