HAITI SUPPORT TEAM

Focus on the LaCroix New Testament Mission, its Child Sponsorship Program, Special Gifts Projects, Building projects and other needs as identified through contact with Pastor Pierre, Director of the LaCroix Mission and the Pittsburgh area churches that support the mission.

INDIA SUPPORT TEAM

Focus on the projects Westminster supports in India including Miraj Medical Center, its Nursing School and Community Health/Development programs, Sangli Industrial School, community-based rehabilitation program, and Vadaketh Development Center. Build relationships through correspondence, child sponsorships, or funding community development projects.

MALAWI SUPPORT TEAM

Focus on Pittsburgh Presbytery's and Westminster's Malawi Partnership including support of Zomba CCAP Church, our sister church in Malawi. Identify ways to enhance our relationships with the people of the Synod of Blantyre.

MISSION ABROAD SHORT TERM MISSIONARY

Travel as part of a team to one of Westminster's designated missions in India, Malawi or Haiti. Serve as Christ's ambassador representing Westminster Church to the people and congregations with which we are connected. Upon return from trip, interpret the work of the mission projects to the members of Westminster. To encourage participation in mission trips, the mission team pays for half of the cost of the trip for church members. Time required: Preparation time for the trip; time spent on the trip (1 - 3 weeks); occasional opportunities to report on the trip and its impact on your life. Information and training provided, depending on the location and kind of project undertaken. Suggested skills: Medical, teaching, engineering, general labor, computer skills, management consulting, engineering, nursing, occupational therapy, miscellaneous business skills and a willingness to carry Jesus Christ's love to brothers and sisters in other lands.
