Westminster Counseling Center Board

The Board has management, financial and marketing oversight for The Counseling Center which is a separate corporation with reporting responsibilities to the Session. There are two opportunities for volunteer participation. The first opportunity is as one of nine Board members. The Board is divided into three sub-committees: Finance, Counseling, and Public Relations. The second opportunity is to serve on our on-call Advisory Committee. From time to time the counselors and the clergy staff seek advice from those who specialize in such areas as guidance counseling, money management, psychiatric care of children, psychiatric advice concerning specific mental illnesses, advice on legal matters, accounting advice, parenting skills, people related to support groups like AA, business expertise for the self-employed, job seeking skills and developmental understandings of adult life cycles. Time required: Board meetings every other month.
