Communion

COMMUNION SET-UP COORDINATOR

Contacts and relays instructions to the Elder who is responsible for the month's communion set-up. After Communion Sunday, follow-up with the Elder; wash and iron the communion cloths. Also make sure communion service is properly cleaned and stored for the next month's use. Time required: 2 to 3 hours per month.

COMMUNION SERVING COORDINATOR

Schedule Elders and Deacons for each Communion service. Mail notices to servers. Oversee the gathering of servers before each service. Instruct new Elders and Deacons in procedures of serving. Meet with servers in Gallery before each communion service on Sundays and special services.

COMMUNION PERPARATION TEAM LEADER

The team leader is responsible for recruiting team members, scheduling teams, providing instructions and communicating any special requirements. Time required: Approximately one hour per month.

COMMUNIION PREPARATION TEAM MEMBER

Communion preparation is done by 3 teams of 4 team members. Each team prepares the elements for each Communion service. The team purchases the grape juice, and provides purchased or home-baked bread loaves. Training provided. Time required: 1 to 2 hours every three months.

SANCTUARY SOUND SYSTEM OPERATOR

Monitors sound during worship services in the Sanctuary by checking equipment, monitoring volumes, adjusting tone levels and taping the service. Training is provided for this important ministry. Time required: 1 1/2 hours per Sunday.

BANNER TEAM ARTIST AND/OR SEAMSTRESS

Sanctuary banners are designed, created and hung to represent the church seasons and special days. Can work on one project or many. Training is provided. Skills needed: sewing by hand or machine, or art or design talents.

WESTMINSTER GALLERY COORDINATOR

Schedules local visual artists to provide original two-dimensional artwork for display in the gallery on a monthly basis. Preview artists' work; think creatively about the use of the gallery space to provide appealing, uplifting displays. Training provided.

WESTMINSTER GALLERY EXHIBITOR

Display your original two-dimensional artwork in the gallery space for one month period. Work must meet certain standards established by the church.
