Volunteer Opportunities - Adult Education

ADULT SPIRITUAL DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION

Focus on current and potential programs for adults; evaluate, support and develop specific programs for adults. Training provided through specific workshops. Time required: 5 to 6 meetings, plus 2 hours per week associated work. Skills needed: Visioning, creativity, team attitude, organizational skills helpful.

ADULT FAITH COMMUNITIES (Adult Sunday School)

All adults are encouraged to join a Faith Community group which gathers for Bible Study and fellowship on Sunday mornings. Currently six groups meet at 9:45 am and one at 11:00 am. Visit Bulletin for locations. Teachers are needed - skills required: ability to communicate biblical concepts, listen, project a caring attitude using appropriate teaching methods. Work cooperatively with others on teaching team. Time required: Regular participation in class plus 3 to 4 hours preparation time. Training provided: Workshops and Presbytery Teacher Training.

CHRISTIAN FORMATION SEMINAR PLANNING TEAM

Focus on current programs for Sunday Seminars; serve as a team to evaluate, support and develop specific programs for adults. Time required: 8 to 9 meetings per year plus up to 2 hours per week. Training provided at team meetings and as needed.
