Since 1990, Westminster has supported Miraj Medical Center, a 600-bed general hospital serving a population of ten million. Through a Child Partner Program, we support 20 children of the lowest wage-earning workers at the Medical Center.
In the area of job training, we support Sangli Industrial School, which trains workers with employable skills in welding, carpentry, plumbing, auto and computer repair. In the area of child welfare, the Vadeketh Development Center diagnoses and trains disabled and retarded children. The Community-Based Rehabilitation Center provides a rehabilitation program for disabled children and trains day-care nurses.
Medical Benevolence Foundation
Provides mission education in congregations, solicits financial support, medical supplies and equipment; and recruits brief-term volunteers for overseas service in healthcare.
One Great Hour of Sharing
A special annual offering to support the Presbyterian Hunger Program, Presbyterian Disaster Assistance, and Self-development of People.
Pittsburgh Theological Seminary
Provides scholarship funds and capital improvements to one of our denomination's oldest theological institutions, located in the East End of Pittsburgh.
World Mission Initiative
A fellowship of Presbyterians dedicated to developing mission vision, nurturing mission vocation, and cultivating mission congregations.
