Children's Ministry

Our Mission Statement

Children’s Ministry Commission’s purpose is to help families develop and nurture their children’s faith in Jesus Christ.  Children birth through sixth grade are taught through scripture, worship, outreach to others, prayer and Christian example.

9:45 a.m.

We continue to offer Movies and a Message for children Pre-K through 2nd grade in Room 107 while parents attend The Bridge worship service or adult education classes. Children must be picked up by 10:45 to allow for set up of Sunday School at 11:00 a.m.

11:00 Sunday School

On the first Sunday of the month, all children grades Pre-K through 6th will begin in the Sanctuary.  After the Children’s Moment, Pre-K through 1st will be dismissed to attend Sunday School. They will be taken to their classrooms and may be picked up at noon, after the 11:00 service. Children 2nd through 6th grade are invited to worship with their families.

On the second through fourth Sundays (and when there is a fifth), children Pre-K through 6th are to go directly to their classrooms for Sunday School and may be picked up at noon, after the 11:00 service.

Pick up will be in the following rooms:
2 ½ -3year olds Room 237
Pre-K                     Room 128
Kindergarten        Room 126
1st                          Room 127
2nd                         Room 125
3rd                          Room 107
4th                          Room 238
5th & 6th                Room 257

Sunday School for 2 ½ through 3 year olds

Sunday School is provided for children 2 ½ through 3 year olds during the 11:00 a.m. worship service. Please enter Room 237 to be welcomed and register your child. The Sunday School staff uses a curriculum approved by the Children’s Ministry Commission which includes Bible stories, songs, games and crafts.

Infants

Care is provided from 8:20 a.m. through noon for children 3 months to when they become accomplished walkers. Appropriate toys and equipment are available for these little ones.  Please enter Room 237 to be welcomed and have your child registered    

Nursing Mothers

A private area of the nursery is available for nursing mothers.  Please ask the staff in the nursery for directions to that area.

Toddlers

Children who are walking well through 3 years old are cared for in Rooms 233/235 from 8:20 a.m. through noon. Children 2 1/2 through 3 years old attend Sunday School during the 11:00 a.m. worship service in Room 237 while the younger ones play in Rooms 233/235. Please enter Room 237 to be welcomed and register your child. Parents are asked to volunteer three or four times during the year.


Children's Day In

We provide many activities throughout the day addressing the growth and development of the child.   We plan our days with multi-learning styles in mind as well as attending to the physical, emotional, spiritual, and academic needs of children at each level. View our brochure.

JAM

JAM is a youth group for 5th and 6th graders. They meet every Wednesday during the school year in Room 257 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.  JAM offers opportunities for fun, fellowship, and faith as students participate in Bible study, discussion, games, activities, mission projects, and more.  On the first Friday of each month, JAM will also celebrate “First Fridays” from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.  with games in the gym and dinner and time with friends in the youth wing. registration form


Children's Choirs

The Cherub Choir is open to children in grades K-2, and meets on Wednesdays in Fellowship Hall from 4:45 to 5:30 p.m.

The Jr. Choir is open to children in grades 3-6 and meets on Wednesdays in Room 268 from 4:45 to 5:30 p.m.

The Youth Choir is open to all youth, grades 7-12. Youth Choir meets in Fellowship Hall on Thursdays from 6:15 to 7:00 p.m.
