DR. JAMES A. GILCHRIST
Senior Pastor and Head of Staff
Dr. Jim Gilchrist, a native of southwestern Pennsylvania, has been senior pastor of Westminster Presbyterian Church since September 2006. He holds a BA in philosophy and a Master of Divinity from Yale, an MPIA in international affairs from the University of Pittsburgh, and an MA and PhD in history and policy from Carnegie Mellon University, and has taught at Carnegie Mellon, Dickinson College, and Pittsburgh Theological Seminary. Deeply committed to mission as well as ministry, he has traveled extensively throughout the United States, Latin America, and Europe, and recently visited Malawi and India with members of Westminster. Jim has many hobbies, mostly hypothetical for lack of time, but enjoys riding his motorcycle and spending time with his wife, Gwenn, and children, Jeremy and Anna.
REV. TAMMY YEAGER
Associate Pastor, Congregational Care
Rev. Tammy Yeager grew up in Penn Hills and has been the associate pastor of congregational care at Westminster Presbyterian Church since September 2008. She graduated with her B.S. in Elementary Education and her Master of Divinity. She is currently working on her Doctorate of Ministry at Pittsburgh Theological Seminary. Tammy taught elementary education in Central Pennsylvania, preschool at Westminster, and was a chaplain at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh. She and her husband Ray have four daughters, Anna, Ashley, Alexandra, and Brittany. Tammy loves learning, traveling, animals, and the outdoors. Bicycling, kayaking, snorkeling, and reading are among her favorite activities. She loves people of all ages. Tammy is passionate about exploring and experiencing God’s amazing gift of life with others, in the power and presence of the risen Christ.
